Northwestern Russia Regional Contest 2026

This year, the qualification round will take place on October 25 together with the SPbSU Championship. The qualification round can be taken at one of the contest sites. Online participation in the qualification round is not available in the 2026-2027 season! Qualification results are determined regardless of the site where a team participates

Who can participate?

Teams of undergraduate, master's, and postgraduate students from Saint Petersburg, the Arkhangelsk, Leningrad, Murmansk, Novgorod, and Pskov regions, and the Republic of Karelia are invited. Teams must consist of three undergraduate, master's, or postgraduate students representing the same university. Participation in the qualification round is free of charge

• be enrolled at the university represented by the team
• represent only one university during an ICPC season
• not have participated in the ICPC World Finals twice and not have participated in any ICPC stages for more than 5 seasons
• satisfy at least one of the following conditions: be born after January 1, 2003; have started their first university studies after January 1, 2022; have completed no more than 8 semesters of study.

ITMO University

If you are not an ITMO student, you will need your passport and an ITMO entry pass. See the instructions below.

Registration in the university lobby and room assignment will take place from 09:00 to 10:00

Go to the ITMO EVENTS website via this link. Register on the website, then register for the event. The completed pass will be sent to the email address specified in ITMO EVENTS; you will need to present it at the university entrance on the day of the contest.
We recommend obtaining the pass in advance.

1. The best team from each university is invited to the quarterfinal.
2. Teams that have already been invited are removed from the standings.
3. The two best remaining teams from each university are considered. The best N teams from this list are invited to the quarterfinal.
4. Teams that have already been invited are removed from the standings.
5. The best teams from the remaining list are invited to the quarterfinal until the total number of quarterfinal teams reaches M, or until all participating teams have been invited.
